Mobile 2.0

This afternoon's session was the most interesting so far, and what I had hoped more of the conference would be like. The presenter was a developer/strategist with Yahoo Mobile. He talked about the mobile device's increasing ability to provide context around content based on location, time and personal connections. Starting with Flickr geo-tagging, moving on to new Yahoo mobile releases, including mobile bookmarking Oneplace and Oneconnect, an easier way to reach your contacts through IM, email, messaging, etc.

Went off on an interesting tangent about face and location recognition based on the context of who you are, where you are, and whom you know.

Suffice it to say, the most interesting things are yet to come, your cell phone is more relevant than you think, and I'm so glad to be on the Palm business.
